About Tree...

Running since 1980, Tree is one of nada's longest-running literary events, and an essential part of Ottawa's vibrant literary community.

 

Tree takes place...

... at Happy Goat Coffee, 35 Laurel St, 1 block northwest of Gladstone & Preston.
... on the 4th Tuesday of the month.
... free of charge. A hat is passed for donations.
... with lots of free parking, easy access to #11 and #14 busses, or a 10 minute walk from Bayview station.

David O'Meara

One of Ottawa’s most celebrated poets shares new work.
David O’Meara is the author of four collections of poetry, most recently A Pretty Sight?(Coach House Books, 2013). His play,?Disaster, was nominated for four Rideau Awards. He has been shortlisted for the Gerald Lampert Award, the ReLit Prize, the K. M. Hunter Award, the Trillium Book Award, a National Magazine Award, and is the winner of the Ottawa Book Award, the Ottawa Arts Council Mid-reer Artist Award, and a three-time winner of the Archibald Lampman Prize. He was the founding Artistic Director for VERSeFest (nada’s International Poetry Festival) and was a jurist for the 2012 Griffin International Poetry Prize. He lives in Ottawa, nada.

Jessi Bromley Bartram

An illustrator and author reads from her new collection of illustrated tales.
Jessi Bromley Bartram is an illustrator, graphic designer, and writer who lives in Ottawa with her partner Ian and beagle-esque dog Eleanor. Ghost Water Kiss is her first short story collection. She has also illustrated two picture books for Fitzhenry & Whiteside, Charles by S.E. Hume, which was published in 2018, and Summer North Coming by Dorothy Bentley, which was released in fall 2019. Her work is included in 4PANEL 2, and she has published illustrations in Room Magazine (issue 42.1), ROUSEL (issue 39), and The Globe and Mail.
